Refund Policy

Music Technology Club Refund Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy sets out the terms under which Education & Bass Ltd. (trading as Music Technology Club) handles refunds and cancellations for educational services, including term-based group sessions, one-to-one tuition, and short courses.

 

We aim to be clear and fair while complying with UK consumer legislation. Please read carefully before purchasing.

 

1. Your Right to Cancel (Cooling-Off Period)

 

Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the legal right to cancel your purchase within 14 days of your booking confirmation if the service has not yet started. A full refund will be provided if notice is received in writing within this period.

 

However, if you request for sessions or services to begin within this 14-day window (e.g. by joining a session or accessing materials), you acknowledge that your statutory right to a full refund may no longer apply.

 

2. Group Courses & After-School Programmes

​

• Refunds can be requested up to 7 days before the course start date. In this case, a full refund will be issued.

• Cancellations made less than 7 days before the course start may be eligible for a partial refund at our discretion, depending on the circumstances.

• No refunds will be issued once the course has started, except in exceptional cases (e.g. illness, bereavement), where we may offer a partial refund or course credit.

• If a session is cancelled by us (e.g. due to staff absence or technical issue), a replacement session or equivalent will be offered.

 

3. One-to-One Tuition (Online or In-Person)

• You may cancel or reschedule a booked 1:1 session with at least 48 hours’ notice for a full refund or transfer of credit.

• Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance will not be refunded.

• Missed sessions without notice will not be refunded.

 

4. Courses with Digital Content or Recordings

 

If you purchase access to a course that includes downloadable materials, videos, or recordings, you may lose your right to a full refund once you have accessed this content. This aligns with UK law regarding digital goods and services.

 

5. Processing Refunds

• All approved refunds will be processed via the original payment method.

• Refunds are typically issued within 5–10 working days of approval.

• You will receive email confirmation once your refund has been processed.

7. Exceptions & Discretion

 

We understand that individual circumstances vary and aim to be as accommodating as possible within the limits of fairness and sustainability. In some situations, we may offer a credit, course transfer, or partial refund at our discretion, even outside the standard policy window.
